Lee Roehl ~
Queen of Queries
Owner and Founder
email
This self-proclaimed Network Queen and Santa Clause wannabe started doing taxes at H&R Block in the mid-70’s after completing a minor in Statistics. He taught school for 23 years with his BA & MA in Elementary Education. “First grade for the last 8 years was the best!” says Lee R.
Of course he endlessly loves his dogs and their shows and both grandkids from his daughter. He is passionate about making the world a better place, staying out of war, equal rights for everyone, Quorum (the GLBTA chamber of commerce), and cooking and entertaining at his regal candlelit dinners.
Declaration of royal treatment ~ “I pledge to coordinate your activities to (1) help you pay the least amount of taxes possible (2) increase your net worth and (3) connect you to the right people to fulfill your needs.”

Lee Zurek ~
Countess of Credits
Income Tax Specialist

While looking for a career change in 2000, she took Lee’s (the other namesake in the office) income tax course. She is a retired nursing instructor at the community college level. Lee Z has been with ROR since 2001. Come in to ROR Tax to see the smile this position has put on her face!
Lee really likes meeting and working with the clients that come to ROR. Really. She REALLY likes them! She finds them great and grateful for ROR's services. You might run into her at a women’s basketball game at the U, but please don’t run into her while she's running a marathon.
Lee prepares tax returns and does tax planning for individuals, families and the self-employed.
Declaration of royal treatment ~ “I pledge to create a friendly, comfortable experience and deliver an accurate tax preparation personalized to your situation.”

Dick Miller ~
Duke of Deductions
Income Tax Specialist
email
Like most everyone you talk to at ROR Tax Professionals, Dick prepares tax returns, gives tax advice, and does tax planning. Factor in his MBA and a treasure chest of experience, including working with large accounting firms, being CFO of several companies, and his own personal tax practice.
“I love having other tax professionals with which to consult and enjoy this merry band of coworkers and clients.” You might catch him away from the Land of ROR rollerblading, reading, crocheting, working out, or using his EMT certification.
Declaration of royal treatment ~ “I pledge to draw upon all my resources and experience to make the odyssey of your tax journey work to your utmost good.”

Mike Cassidy, CFP® ~
Prince of Planning
Income Tax Specialist
CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
email
From the tiny burg of Elk Mound, Wisconsin, Mike’s arrival to the Twin Cities colony began a varied financial career, having now spanned 16 years for taxes and 10 years for financial services. He portends ROR as a piece in an expansive puzzle that interlocks with other professional businesses. On the magical state of affairs at ROR, he imparts that, “Believe it or not ~ it’s fun to work with tax accountants!” He revels in its quality, size, each and every co-worker, and the wonderfulness of ROR’s clients.
Other jewels in Mike C’s crown include key positions with Project 515, DIVA|MN, HRC, Heartland AIDS Rides, and American Expresses’ PRIDE Network. You might glimpse him being outdoors to (TRY to) stay fit, living in Uptown, enjoying restaurants “too much” and relentlessly renovating his boyfriend’s (Alan) home to maintain his status as honorary lesbian with many tools.
Speaking of tools, Mike C brings many of them to ROR. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, they include retirement and education planning, as well as individual tax planning and preparation.
Declaration of royal treatment ~ “I pledge to not just prepare your taxes, but to look for opportunities in your situation that will better your life. I will also do my best to take the pain out of getting your taxes done!”

Mike Simon ~
Wizard of Withholding
Income Tax Specialist

Mike S (that’s right ~ two Lee’s and two Mike’s in this court) is part of the royal family. Literally. That is, not in that Sister Sledge kind of way ~ he’s Lee R’s son-in-law. He has dedicated a lot of time to post-secondary studies, starting with degrees in Psychology and Social Welfare from the University of Wisconsin and continuing today as he builds on his tax and financial knowledge to serve ROR’s clients.
Mike S spent several years working as a news director for several western Wisconsin radio stations, observing politics and analyzing the flow of money from our small pockets through the government’s giant hands. That experience helped make him a research wizard, which he draws on to find the best possible tax situation for his clients.
“One of the things I like most about working in the tax field is that every time a new client sits down with me, my job completely changes. No two tax situations are alike, and it’s fun to develop a customized plan for each client so they can achieve the goals they’ve set for themselves.”
The three most precious gems in Mike’s life are his wife of 10+ years and their two adorable daughters, Ani and the Storm. He’s also into home improvement, biking, fitness, and his car, but those interests fall far short of his greatest passion ~ food (which you probably guessed from the picture).
Mike S focuses on tax planning and preparation for individuals, families, partnerships, and corporations.
Declaration of royal treatment ~ “I pledge to work as hard as possible so my clients’ tax planning is comfortable, trouble-free, and even fun."
"Tiaras optional."
